SUMMARY
Responsibilities include:
  • Control and Monitor all Corden Colorado Corporation information and telecommunications systems
  • Develop specifications and purchase all Servers, PC's, printers, telecommunication equipment, etc. for the site.
  • Control and ensure the security of this equipment
  • Develop, control and monitor the Information Systems Budget.
  • Hire and manage IT staff to best serve the needs of the site.
  • Hire and direct activities of information technology consultants.
  • Responsible for Project Management of new or upgraded hardware, software or services.   This includes proposal preparation or review, contract negotiations, installation and final acceptance.
  • Evaluate requests for new service, software or hardware and develop an economical and appropriate solution.
  • Provide management with technical direction and leadership in computer applications development and computer operations of the organization.
  • Control and protect all locally stored computer generated information.
  • Develop and execute software/hardware validation plans when required.
  • Interface with site managers to inform them of IT activities and identify needs they may have.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Provide advice and counsel to management concerning the application of computing techniques to meet corporate and local requirements.
  • Act as internal consultant providing technical guidance on the most complex projects.
  • Establish and maintain network users, user environment, directories, equipment and security.
  • Respond to the needs and questions of users concerning their access to computer resources and the operation of various software programs.
  • Provide adequate risk management of hardware and software.  Maintain disaster recovery systems.
  • Remain abreast of changes in user software and hardware requirements.
LEADERSHIP & BUDGET RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide leadership responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Budget responsibilities for generation and management of department operating expense budget and Boulder site IT capital budget.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
BS degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Project Management plus 5 or more years of management experience; or an equivalent combination of education, experience and management.
 
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to write reports, proposals, contracts, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
 
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

SALARY
This is an exempt position. Salary based upon the successful candidate’s qualifications and level of experience.
