Safety, Health and Environment (SHE)

We take our responsibility to Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) concerns very seriously, and are committed to minimizing the ecological impact we have on the world - both on a global and domestic level.

Our entire organization works together to ensure our processes and methodologies are constantly scrutinized for ways to reduce waste and promote greener working practices.

Our SHE policy mirrors that of the United Nations, and we're pledged to its Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) program.

Moving Ahead

Committed to prioritizing Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) in every aspect of our business, we stand as the partner you need.

Climate

  • Wherever possible, we have reduced or eliminated all unnecessary travel. By opting for virtual meetings where possible, we ensure in-person attendance is reserved for situations that will have the most impact.
  • When it comes to transporting materials, we avoid the overuse of vehicles. We do this by consolidating deliveries into larger batches wherever possible to minimize our carbon footprint.
  • From a logistical standpoint, we’re constantly looking to avoid waste.

Diversity

  • As an employer, we are dedicated to diversifying our workplace at all levels throughout the organization. Gender, race, religion and sexuality have no bearing on our employee selection process. Our people, across all roles, reflect the global communities we serve.

Impact

  • Our employees understand that their actions reflect our ethical, social and positive impact, and are mindful of our collective responsibility to respect the people and cultures we work alongside.
  • We’re committed to ensuring we leave a positive impact on the environments and people we engage with daily.
  • In terms of our ethics, from the materials we use, to how we treat our people and vendors, to how we manage our materials and waste, our team is dedicated to maintaining the highest possible standards.

Information Security

  • Information security means building trust – with you, with each other, and on a global level.
  • We pledge to maintain the highest level of IT security possible to protect your company details and ensure your proprietary information remains safe from cyber-attacks or theft. To achieve this, all employees are required to receive regular training in cyber security.

Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG)

We have taken a proactive approach to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) through investment in technologies such as Supercritical Fluid Chromatography (SFC).

From small-scale development through to multi-100 kg commercial production, our expanded SFC purification capabilities enable the efficient management of your product’s environmental impact. When SFC cannot be used, we implement the reuse and recycling of solvents as an alternative.

CordenPharma Awarded Silver EcoVadis 2023 Rating

The EcoVadis methodology demonstrates sustainability assessments via Ratings and Scorecards. Our aim for all our sites is to achieve a Gold Sustainability Rating by 2027. As we continue to work towards this goal, the control and monitoring of our sustainability and greenhouse gas emissions will be managed with ISO 14 001 and ISO 50 001 across our global facility network.
